The best thing about the holidays at Disneyland besides all of the decorations is the all of the new holiday food and beverages! Right now, California Adventure is doing Festival of Holidays and there's a bunch of different food and drinks available for a limited time. lt's basically a holiday food festival that you don't want to miss out on. Well the one drink that everyone is raving about is the Horchata! If you're unfamiliar with horchata, it's a traditional Spanish and Latin American drink that combines ground-up rice and often nuts with water. It makes a milky concoction that's blended with cinnamon and sweetened with sugar. The best way to describe it is as cinnamon milk. There's two different versions of it, one that's alcoholic and one that's non-alcoholic.
The non-alcoholic version is just a classic Horchata that's topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. Of course, it's not Disney without gingerbread cookies in the shape of Mickey Mouse ears placed neatly on top of your drink. Disneyland was also thinking about the adults because they also have a boozy version. The alcoholic version has the same taste and consistency as the non-alcoholic drink, but this one is a little sweeter because it contains rum Horchata liqueur.
