Daily Do Good: The 25th 9/11 Promise Run Hopes To Raise $150K For Scholarships

Runners are making a 230-mile journey from the Pentagon to the 9/11 Memorial to honor the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks while raising money for children of fallen or seriously injured first responders and military members. The annual 9/11 Promise Run began Wednesday morning and will take participants through Maryland and New Jersey over three days. On Friday, the anniversary of the attacks, runners will complete the final three-and-a-half miles to the memorial in New York City. Organizers hope to raise $150-thousand this year for college and trade school scholarships.
