Britney Spears sparked some concern on her 43rd birthday after she was seen with a grill lighter while walking onto her private jet.
Photos show Spears in a trench coat, sunglasses and wide brim hat as she was holding up the grill lighter handle to her mouth after she walked to the private jet with an entourage. Generally, there are two types of lighters allowed on a plane — lighters containing liquid gas or lighters that use absorbed liquid fuel. Other types of lighters, including blue flame and torch lighters are not allowed, including large lighters used for barbecues, like the one Britney had on her.
Why Britney was carrying the lighter is unknown, but the pop star has had some bad luck with fire in the past as she burnt down her home gym several years ago following an accident with two candles. And earlier this year, Spears shared that she burned off her eyebrows and eyelashes while trying to turn on the fireplace in her bedroom, saying the flames "blew up in her face."
Britney celebrated her 43rd birthday as a legally single woman as her divorce from ex-husband, Sam Ashgari, became final. TMZ reported that, according to new legal documents, Britney and Sam's divorce became final on Monday, December 2nd, Britney's birthday. The divorce was first filed by Asghari back in August 2023 after being married for 14 months, citing "irreconcilable differences" — the former couple was together for six years before tying the knot in June 2022.
