While hip-hop is at its' peak being the most streamed genre of music in modern times, the demand for storytelling rises. Netflix' original docu-series "RAPTURE" takes us into the lives of artists such as T.I., G-Eazy, Nas, Dave East, Rapsody, 2 Chainz and more.
DJ Hella Yella and I sat down with Dave East and Rapsody at SXSW in Austin, Texas to discuss the personal stories they shared for the series. The usually private Rapsody, being the only female MC featured among the bill, shares how she overcame any inhibitions to tell her story.
Dave East gives one of his most open interviews to date, tapping in on his parents, being a "gangbangin' dad," separating himself from weirdo rappers and more.
