LONG BEACH, Calif - COMPLEX CON seems like the HypeBeast Superbowl - in which case, it is. Millions of sneakerheads, music fans, art fans and just plain fans of the urban hip-hop culture descend upon the Long Beach Convention Center for a weekend full of panels, shopping for exclusive merchandise and performances.
Just a few of the biggest names that made appearances are, Pharrell WIlliams, N.E.R.D, Migos, Jayden Smith, G-Eazy, DJ Khaled, Ludacris, Wale and a special Complex Con(versation) featuring Kobe Bryant and Kendrick Lamar. Two undisputed "G.O.A.T"s (Greatest of All Time) in their respective fields of basketball and hip-hop.
Many stars unveiled new releases from their brands at the event and shopped others, such as Kim Kardashian and Usher.
This was the second year of the convention, thrown by print and digital culture leader, Complex Media. With such huge success with last year and this weekend, it's safe to assume that ComplexCon is here to stay for a long time, and possibly rival SXSW.
