PHOTOS: Recap From SXSW!

No, I'm not a college student anymore - but luckily for me, SXSW Music Festival falls RIGHT on the spring break dates for Texas schools. So, as some are heading to South Padre or somewhere tropical - for the second year in a row now, I headed over to Austin to cover SXSW, one of the BIGGEST Music Festival conventions in the country spanning one week long.

There are two types of people that go to South By.. the ones with wristbands and the ones without. Meaning the ones with wristbands actually get into events and shows, the ones without kind of just hang around on Sixth Street, waiting for a familiar celebrity face to walk by.

I couldn't cover it any other way, than to have wristbands and hit some of my favorite events.

For example, The Fader Fort. Presented by The Fader magazine, this venue was scaled down a bit since last year, as it used to be an entire LOT wide - now it was the inside and backyard of a smaller venue, but still, just as dope! They offer free drinks, free merch and performances from current or up and coming artists.

While there, I saw some familiar friendly faces like the guys from the wildly sketch hip hop comedy podcast, It's The Real.

I didn't attend this last year, but the VICELAND bus was wildly popular. Sitting on the corner of 7th and Red River - right across from Stubb's BBQ - there was ALWAYS a line, but for good reason. They gave us lots of free merch, free beer and a great party time on the bus.

And the MTV Woodies, we loved so much! Thank you to Michelle for giving us VIP access!
